Brief Profile
Dr. Babu Abraham has a postgraduate degree in General Medicine from the prestigious Kasturba Medical College in Manipal. He subsequently trained in Pulmonary Medicine in the United Kingdom and is a Member of Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), United Kingdom. He then pursued fellowship training in Critical Care Medicine at University of Toronto. He is currently a Senior Consultant in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai. He is well respected as a clinician and teacher and has authored many original publications in national and international journals of repute. He is a course director for Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) program.
Dr. Babu Abraham has been conferred the Fellowship of the Indian College of Critical Care Medicine and has contributed consistently to the Indian College of Critical Care Medicine in his roles as exam secretary general secretary and the Vice-Chancellor. He is an examiner for the National Board Critical Care Exam and for Diploma (IDCCM) and Fellowship (IFCCM) exams conducted by Indian College of Critical Care Medicine.
