The program covers patient preparation, sensor and electrode application, PSG system setup, signal monitoring,
artifact handling, and basic report workflow through guided demonstrations and supervised practice.

Course Objectives
- Understand the PSG lab workflow from patient entry to report handover.
- Perform correct electrode/sensor application and impedance checks.
- Set up PSG montage and calibrations under supervision.
- Monitor signals, identify artifacts, and troubleshoot common issues.
- Learn basics of respiratory events, desaturation and position-related changes (intro level).
- Assist in CPAP trial/titration workflow basics and mask handling (overview).

Days 1–2: Basics + Lab Orientation
- Introduction to sleep studies and PSG indications
- PSG equipment overview and lab safety/infection control
- Patient briefing and consent workflow
Days 3–5: Electrode & Sensor Application
- EEG, EOG, EMG placement basics
- ECG, airflow, effort belts, snore mic, SpO₂, body position
- Impedance checks, troubleshooting weak signals
Days 6–8: Monitoring & Practical PSG Workflow
- Calibrations, lights out/lights on protocol
- Live monitoring and artifact recognition
- Common issues: electrode pop, movement, signal loss
- Basic documentation and event marking
Days 9–10: Report Workflow + CPAP Overview
- Intro to sleep staging and respiratory event concepts (foundation level)
- AHI/ODI basics and report sections overview
- CPAP mask types, fitting basics and titration workflow overview
- Final practical assessment + feedback
